Our Patron is Rt. Hon Barry Sheerman M.P. for Huddersfield

The Friends Of Huddersfield Station are members of Community Rail Partnerships which has its headquarters in Huddersfield at the Old Water Tower in St. George’s Square. Community Rail Partnerships is a federation of over 50 community rail partnerships and rail promotion groups. Community Rail Partnerships has also provided us with financial help to cover the cost of new fleeces for our volunteers.

We are also a partner organisation of Discover Huddersfield which is a community-led project whose aim is to highlight the history, beauty and heritage of the town. Discover Huddersfield has prepared a number of free local trail leaflets which are available from our desk and also organises guided walking tours in the town centre.
